On the evening of the 29th local time, the International Gymnastics Federation announced on its social media platform the details of the deduction of points for the vaulting action of Japanese athlete Hashimoto Daiki in the men’s individual all-around finals of the Tokyo Olympics gymnastics in response to the outside world. Hashimoto stepped out of bounds in the vault, but he got a high score of 14.7.

The International Sports Federation stated that the referee's scoring on the spot complies with the existing rules, that is, extra points are deducted when landing out of bounds, and 0.1 points are deducted if one hand or one foot is outside the landing area.

Hashimoto Daiki's left foot is within the landing range, so only 0.1 points can be deducted according to the rules.
