The incidence rate fell this week below the 100 cases per 100,000 inhabitants mark, a drop of 31.29%, reports

The incidence rate is now 70.7 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
A drop of 33% had already been observed the previous week, with an incidence rate of the coronavirus of 102.4 on June 1.
40% of Normans vaccinated
It is in Orne that the decrease is most notable and in Eure that it is weakest.
In total, 65 clusters have been identified in the region, including 22 in Eure and 21 in Seine-Maritime.
44 of these outbreaks were created in educational establishments and businesses.
No less than 895 people sick with Covid-19 are still hospitalized in Normandy, including 126 in intensive care.
“The occupancy rate of resuscitation beds by Covid patients is now 52.5%,” the Regional Health Agency told

At the same time, the vaccination campaign is continuing.
40% of Normans have already received at least one dose of a vaccine against the coronavirus.
82.3% of those 75 and over received one or two doses.
Screening is continuing, with “new monitoring and screening methods” to better target mutations and variants.
