China News Service, Beijing, October 29 (Reporter Du Yan) Stroke, which is commonly referred to as a "stroke", has become one of the main reasons that threaten the health of Chinese residents.

Experts say that the combination of exercise and medical prevention can better prevent stroke.

October 29 is the 15th World Stroke Day, and this year's publicity theme is "Integration of Medicine and Body to Prevent Stroke".

Today, the Chinese Stroke Society, the National Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention and Research Office, Beijing Tiantan Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University and other units jointly launched the "2020 World Stroke Day Health Science Campaign" in Beijing.

Wang Yongjun, president of Beijing Tiantan Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University, said that last year, the hospital took the lead in introducing the concept of sports, and jointly established the "In-depth cooperation between medical and sports" laboratory with the Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau to dig deeper into sports and other non-medical health interventions in disease prevention. It has carried out a series of activities with a major role in the field of rehabilitation, and at the same time introduced the people’s physical fitness test into the health management center.

This year, a huge sports field will be opened to let the people experience the charm of football, tennis, and basketball.

In September this year, Wang Yongjun released the "China Stroke Report 2019" at the 23rd National Neurology Conference of the Chinese Medical Association.

The report shows that from 2005 to 2018, the crude death rate of Chinese residents from cerebrovascular disease showed a slow upward trend.

In China, at least one out of every five deaths is due to a stroke. The mortality rate is higher in men than in women and higher in rural areas than in urban areas.

The report also shows that hypertension and smoking are the primary risk factors in stroke prevention and management, followed by dyslipidemia and diabetes.

Wang Yongjun pointed out that there is currently sufficient evidence to prove that moderate-intensity exercise for more than 30 minutes 3 times a week can effectively prevent stroke, such as aerobic exercises such as brisk walking and jogging, or intermittent aerobic exercises, namely skipping rope. Increasing jogging, etc., should choose a suitable exercise method according to your physical condition, which can reduce the incidence of stroke.

Wang Yongjun emphasized that it is necessary to manage the risk factors of stroke while exercising, especially to control the "three highs" (hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and hyperglycemia).

Early active control of stroke risk factors and standardized stroke treatment can effectively reduce the incidence, recurrence, disability and mortality of stroke.

At the event, the "Big Health" project jointly launched by the Chinese Stroke Association and Beijing TV Station was officially launched. It will let the public understand the evidence of stroke prevention by exercise, how to exercise correctly, and the tips for measuring body temperature and grasping exercise intensity through short videos. , Wang Yongjun served as the chief scientific consultant of the column.

At the same time, the new public science popularization and disease management public welfare platform-Red Hand Ring Club is also officially launched.

Wang Wenzhi, director of the National Office of Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention and Research and president of the Chinese Stroke Society, said that through online and offline activities, activities such as popular science education, disease management, and health consultation will be carried out across the country to effectively improve residents' health literacy.

Gao Li, the representative of the World Health Organization in China, the current chairman of the World Stroke Organization, Professor Michael Brainin, and the successor chairman Marc Fisher expressed through a remote video that they hope that everyone will participate in the exercise together so that more people can learn about stroke and prevent it.

On the day of the event, medical and nursing experts and red bracelet volunteers from the Neurology Center of Beijing Tiantan Hospital measured blood lipids, blood pressure, and blood sugar for the public in the outpatient hall of the hospital, and provided health consultation and professional guidance based on the results.
