The military spokesman for the Houthis in Yemen, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced an attack with a ballistic missile and 4 drones on an "important target" in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, which he did not disclose.
Saree said in a statement on Twitter today, Thursday, that the attack was carried out using a "Zulfiqar" missile and 4 "Samad 3" drones, without giving further details, and Houthi attacks targeted the Saudi capital several times before.
There has been no confirmation of the attack by the Saudi-Emirati coalition, which has been fighting the Houthis since 2015.
Saree said in his statement that the attack came "in response to the continuous escalation by the enemy and its continuous siege on our country," vowing to launch more attacks on the Saudi regime ... if it continues its aggression and siege.

Intercept and destroy
This comes hours after Saudi Arabia announced that it had destroyed an explosive drone launched by the Houthis towards its territory.
The Saudi Press Agency quoted the spokesman for the coalition forces, Colonel Turki Al-Maliki, as saying that "the joint coalition forces managed, Thursday morning, to intercept and destroy an unmanned (booby-trapped) aircraft launched by the Houthi militia in a systematic and deliberate manner to target civilian objects and civilians in Najran."
