It is said that on November 29 and December 2 local time, a duck farm in Jeongeup, Jeollabuk-do and a chicken farm in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do had outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza respectively.

  The Central Accident Handling Headquarters for Avian Influenza in South Korea stated that on December 5, local time, the Yeongyan duck farm carried out a precision test and found that the H5N8 highly pathogenic avian influenza virus was found. 493,000 chickens and ducks from 10 farms within a 3 km radius were treated urgently.

  In addition, the South Korean government also issued a 30-day movement restriction order for 44 poultry farms within a 10 km radius of the duck farm, and strengthened supervision and precision inspection of bird flu.

  According to reports, the Central Accident Handling Headquarters for Bird Flu in Korea also decided to centrally manage the disinfection and epidemic prevention of more than 6,900 poultry farms across the country from December 7 local time.
