In relation to the alleged corruption of President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol himself, his wife and mother-in-law, the hard-lined Democratic Party lawmakers submitted a special prosecutor's bill to the National Assembly.

Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Yong-min yesterday (25th), "President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol's case of corruption in Daejang-dong development, various abuses of power during his tenure as prosecutor Yoon Seok-yeol, and his family's real estate speculation, preferential lending, stock price manipulation, and fraudulent hoarding, etc. A bill on the appointment of special prosecutors, etc.' was proposed as a representative.

Kang Min-jung, Kim Nam-guk, Kim Seung-won, Kim Eui-gyeom, Min Hyeong-bae, Park Ju-min, Yoo Jeong-ju, Lee Su-jin, Jang Gyeong-tae, and Choi Kang-wook were also included in the bill.

Regarding the reason for the proposal, they said, "The president-elect Yoon's family has been accused of corruption over a long period of time in various fields, including his own corruption such as the investigation related to the development of Daejang-dong, the corruption of his spouse such as fraud through false career information, and the corruption of his mother-in-law in relation to forgery of private documents and illegal real estate speculation. There are suspicions that he did it.”

He also pointed out, "The public's questions about neutrality and fairness continue to be raised as the prosecution repeats the time-consuming and caring investigations on the grounds that they are the president-elect and his family."

"Through the appointment of a politically neutral and fair special prosecutor, we intend to thoroughly investigate various allegations against President-elect Yoon and bring the facts to light in front of the public quickly and thoroughly," he added.
