Recently, Li Xinmin, a 70-year-old elder in Jiuquan City, Gansu Province, specially ordered a giant "Silk Road" sculpture from Guilin City, Guangxi Province to create a large-scale theme cultural tourism project for the ecological oasis of Northwest Gobi.
The work was carved by three craftsmen in Guilin for one and a half months. The exhibit is 7.4 meters long, 1 meter wide and 2.2 meters high. The exhibit contains 24 camels, 2 yurts, 30 adults and children, and 19 plants. The scene is reproduced. The cultural history on the ancient Silk Road.
