Recently, a million-dollar annual salary recruitment news in a liquor company has attracted much attention.

  Liquor industry talent war

On New Year's Eve, Zhu Wei, the helm of Guizhou Chun, Zhijiang Liquor and Guizhou Qingjiu, issued a talent recruitment order on the We-Media, mainly recruiting 50 marketing cadres, including provincial and branch levels, involving markets all over the country. To meet the expanding business needs; on February 1, Zhu Wei recruited a sales general manager for Guizhou Chun and offered an "astronomical" annual salary of 5 million yuan, which also exceeded the salary level of general managers of many listed liquor companies.

Some industry insiders pointed out that Zhu Wei chose to release this recruitment information at the Spring Festival node, indicating that the company under his helm will usher in a major business expansion in the new year, and it is necessary to plan ahead at the level of team building.

As early as January, companies such as Guotai, Shuijingfang, Anjiu, and Xiantan have released recruitment information. The positions recruited are basically sales managers with marketing experience, covering provincial capitals and regions, as well as some secretarial and information technology positions. Annual salary of up to 500,000.

On February 7, the first day of the Spring Festival, Luzhou Laojiao made great efforts to recruit reserve marketing cadres, adding another fire to this year's talent war.

The recruitment information shows that the recruitment area includes Suzhou, Nanjing, Ningbo, Hefei, Wuhan, Beijing, Jinan, Chongqing, Xi'an, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu and other key cities, and the age requirements are all 25-35 years old. After six months of training, it is possible to upgrade from trainees, to city managers, and then to area/theater managers, with a maximum annual salary of one million yuan.

In fact, in addition to real money, the liquor industry and wine companies have already made more long-term investment in talent training.

In 2017, the liquor industry, focusing on the long-term strategic deployment of industrial development, organized a seminar and training seminar on the "China Liquor Young and Middle-aged Expert Talent Training Program", which effectively promoted the cultivation of high-skilled talents.

An industry insider said that in recent years, "talent strategy" has become an important development strategy for wine companies, and companies have been paying more and more attention to talent training.

The emphasis on talents must not be limited to the technical level, and it must also occupy its due weight at the sales level.

In today's increasingly fierce market competition, "talent" has become a key factor affecting success or failure.

More and more young people are pouring into today's liquor companies.

On the one hand, with the digitalization and standardization transformation of the industry, the demand for high-quality professionals is also increasing, and on the other hand, young people are needed to open up the market for young people and promote the rejuvenation of liquor companies in an all-round way.

  Liquor production expansion continues

In addition to the introduction of talents, the expansion of liquor production has never stopped.

On January 27, Shuijingfang stated on the investor interaction platform that the company started the Qionglai base project in 2018 with a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan and is expected to be put into production in 2023.

The Qionglai base belongs to the company's production and storage base. After the completion of the project, an annual production capacity of 20,000 kiloliters of raw wine will be formed, and more than 500 new jobs will be created.

On the same day, the second phase of Guizhou Guijiu Group Maoxiang Liquor production project was completed and put into operation in early November 2021.

The total investment of the project is 420 million yuan, covering an area of 100 acres and a total construction area of 4,536 square meters. After full production, the annual production capacity is expected to exceed 6,800 tons.

On the evening of January 28, Wuliangye announced that according to the company's "14th Five-Year" strategic development plan, the company will increase the production capacity of raw wine. Qu workshop and related supporting facilities, etc., will be constructed in two phases.

The total investment of the project is estimated to be 2.75 billion yuan.

It is worth noting that at the end of last year, Wuliangye just announced the workshop renovation plan, with a total investment of about 84.526 million yuan.

On December 27, 2021, Wuliangye announced that it has agreed to carry out the technical transformation of the 523 workshop for capacity expansion. The planned land area is 33 mu. The main construction content is to build a new cellar and related supporting facilities. The investment amount is subject to project bidding and final accounts).

On June 18, 2021, Wuliangye's 2020 shareholders meeting mentioned capacity construction, including:

  1) Increase high-quality production capacity: Add 120,000 tons of raw wine, with a total production capacity of 250,000 tons, and continue to maintain the largest solid-state fermentation pure grain wine production base in China;

  2) Increase the storage capacity of base wine: exceed 1 million tons during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, and continue to maintain the status of the world's leading base wine storage base;

  3) Improve the rate of famous wines: Due to technological reasons (the grading and optimization process "pinch the head and remove the tail"), currently only the best part of Luzhou-flavored wine is selected, and the rate of famous wine is only about 20%.

Therefore, the production capacity of Wuliangye is limited and scarce.

(If the famous wine rate is increased by 1 percentage point, Wuliangye can increase the supply of high-quality wine by 1,000 tons per year; if it is increased by 10 percentage points, Wuliangye can increase its sales revenue by 20 to 30 billion yuan).

According to the data of the three quarterly reports previously disclosed, Wuliangye’s revenue in the first three quarters of last year was 37.102 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 26.84% (compared to the same period in 2020); the net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 12.544 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 32.11%; The stock income was 3.23 yuan.

On January 26, Kweichow Moutai issued an announcement saying that the company will invest 4.11 billion yuan to implement the first-phase construction project of Xishui Tongmin Dam, the “14th Five-Year Plan”, and the required funds will be raised by the company itself.

The construction site of this project is located in Tongmin Town, Xishui County, Guizhou Province. After the project is completed, it can form a series of wine production capacity of about 12,000 tons, koji production capacity of about 29,400 tons, and wine storage capacity of about 36,000 tons. The construction period is 24 moon.

Back in September 2018, Kweichow Moutai announced that, according to the development strategy of the listed company, it had decided to invest in the construction of a 30,000-ton Maotai-flavored wine technical transformation project and its supporting facilities. The total investment of the project was estimated to be no more than 8.384 billion yuan.

According to the latest announcement of Moutai, in 2021, Kweichow Moutai will produce about 56,500 tons of Moutai-based wine and about 28,200 tons of series wine-based wine.

At the end of last year, Luzhou Laojiao Co., Ltd. announced that it was approved by the 11th meeting of the 10th board of directors of the company to approve the wholly-owned subsidiary Luzhou Laojiao Brewing Co., Ltd. to participate in the auction of Luzhou with its own funds of no more than 570 million yuan. The Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning has publicly auctioned and transferred the land use rights in Luzhou Liquor Industrial Park, Sichuan, in the Luzhou City Public Resource Exchange Center. .

It is worth noting that a few days ago, the State Council issued the "Opinions on Supporting Guizhou's Development of the West in the New Era" (hereinafter referred to as "Opinions").

The "Opinions" pointed out that the advantages of the origin and main production areas of Maotai-flavor liquor in the Chishui River Basin should be used to build an important liquor production base in the country.

Implement equity and dividend incentive policies for state-owned technology-based enterprises.

Steadily promote the reform of the marketing system of liquor enterprises.

Continuously enhance the influence of exhibition activities such as China International Big Data Industry Expo, China (Guizhou) International Alcohol Expo, and China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week.

Will the large-scale expansion of wine companies lead to overcapacity?

From the data point of view, data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that in November 2021, the output of Chinese liquor (65 degrees, commodity volume) was 715,000 kiloliters, an increase of 0.3% year-on-year; from January to November 2021, Chinese liquor (65 degrees, commodity volume) The cumulative output was 6.324 million kiloliters, a cumulative increase of 5.4%; from 2015 to 2020, the output of Chinese liquor (65 degrees, commercial volume) reached the highest in 2016, and has decreased year by year since then.

The industry's understanding also pointed out that in the next 3-5 years, when most of the production capacity of soy sauce and wine is converted into products on the market, the overcapacity can really be highlighted.

In addition, some senior experts said that there will be no excess of soy sauce in the core production areas, and the production capacity of soy sauce will reach 1 million tons around 2030, and there is a high probability that there will be no excess.

However, judging from the development trend of the entire category of sauce wine, there is a greater risk of overcapacity in sauce wine after 2030.
