  From the perspective of total GDP, Guangdong ranks first in the country with 5.7 trillion yuan, and is firmly established as the “biggest Guangdong” position.

  Statistics show that the GDP of Guangdong in the first half of the year was 5722.631 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.0%, and an average growth of 5.0% in two years.

  "Su Daqiang" closely followed Guangdong and ranked second.

In the first half of the year, Jiangsu achieved a GDP of 5.519963 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.2%, and an average growth of 6.9% in two years.

  Shandong is still third.

Shandong’s GDP in the first half of the year was 3,890.635 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.8% at comparable prices, and an average increase of 6.1% in two years.

  In other words, the pattern of the top three in Guangdong, Jiangsu, and Shandong remains unchanged.

However, from the perspective of economic growth, "Su Daqiang" is better than Guangdong and Shandong.

GDP growth rate: No. 1 in Hubei

  From the perspective of GDP growth, Hubei tops the list.

  According to the data, Hubei achieved a regional GDP of 2.277769 billion yuan in the first half of the year, a year-on-year increase of 28.5% at comparable prices, and an average growth of 1.8% in two years.

  Among the 27 provinces, Hubei was the only province whose GDP growth rate exceeded 20% in the first half of the year, which was much higher than the national growth rate of 12.7%.

  Hubei's economic growth rate in the first half of the year was “outstanding”, mainly because Hubei's economy resumed growth on a low base last year.

Two-year average growth rate: Hainan's first

  According to the data, Hainan's regional GDP in the first half of the year was 288.585 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.5% at constant prices, and an average increase of 7.0% in two years.

The Hainan Bureau of Statistics pointed out that with the acceleration of the construction of the free trade port, businesses such as bulk commodity trading, offshore trade and off-island duty-free shopping have continued to maintain a rapid growth trend, which has promoted the rapid growth of the province's wholesale and retail industry.

  In the first half of the year, Hainan’s wholesale and retail industry achieved an added value of 36.932 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 55.4%, an average growth rate of 21.4% in two years, an increase of 4.5 percentage points from the first quarter, a contribution rate of 31.1% to economic growth, and a 5.4% increase in GDP.   Compared with the national economic growth rate of 12.7% in the first half of the year, the economic growth rate of the nine provinces of Hubei, Hainan, Beijing, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Anhui, Jiangxi, Shandong, and Chongqing outperformed the country in the first half of the year.

  Shanghai's GDP growth rate in the first half of the year was 12.7%, the same as the national growth rate.

  In addition, the two-year average growth rate of many provinces has accelerated compared with the first quarter.

Among them, the average growth rate of Hubei in the two years was 1.8%, which was 3.7% faster than the average growth rate in the first quarter.
