The new McLaren will be called Artura, and it will mark the start of a new era for McLaren.
Its hybrid V6 is in fact called to replace the current “all-rounder V8”, and will therefore serve as a mechanical basis for the entire “regular” range of the manufacturer, with possible modifications for certain models.
Recall that hybridization is not new at McLaren, since the superlative P1 (2013-2015) inaugurated this type of propulsion which will now become widespread.
McLaren P1 (2013-2015) - DR
Launched during the first half of 2021, the new model will offer the same performance as the V8 and will be able to make (short) trips in 100% electric mode.
