  According to reports, the Laxiwa Hydropower Station started construction in November 2003, and the first batch of 5 units was put into operation in August 2010.

Since December of this year, Laxiwa Hydropower Station has started various pre-grid commissioning tests on Unit 4; on December 21, Unit 4 of Laxiwa Hydropower Station passed the start-up acceptance; on December 25, it entered 72-hour trial operation stage.

  Wang Lun, deputy director of the Engineering and Technology Department of the Yellow River Company, said that as an important supporting power source for the "Qingyu DC" UHV transmission channel, Unit 4 of Laxiwa Hydropower Station will give full play to the functions of peak regulation, frequency regulation, and accident backup to effectively guarantee special The safe and stable operation of the high-voltage transmission channel further enhances the power support capacity of the "Qingyu DC" project.

  According to statistics from the Yellow River Company, as of the end of November 2021, the Laxiwa Hydropower Station has generated 134.9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, which is equivalent to saving 41,953,900 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 105.22 million tons.
