The fourth American vaccine against "Corona" reaches the final stage

US President Donald Trump announced that one of the vaccines against the emerging corona virus (Covid-19) has reached the final stage of clinical trials.

Trump said in a press conference, yesterday evening, that the vaccine is the fourth candidate in the United States and has reached the final stage of the trial.

He stressed that the vaccine manufacturer expected earlier this year to reach the first phase of trials by December, but due to the US administration’s support, they reached the third phase of trials by September ahead of schedule.

The US President stated that his administration announced the granting of $ 200 million in funding to all states to prepare for the distribution of the vaccine to the population at high risk, and it will be delivered upon approval.

In a related context, the Commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration, Dr. Stephen Hahn, assured the US Senate that the administration will carefully review the safety and efficacy of any Corona virus vaccine before it is released to the public.

Dr. Stephen Hahn said: "Ultimately, the Food and Drug Administration will not authorize the use of a vaccine that we do not feel comfortable giving to our families, nor will it approve it."

Hahn assured members of Congress that the regulator’s scientists will review any potential vaccine once his sponsor submits a request to the Food and Drug Administration, including any requests for emergency clearance.

He added, "I have complete and absolute belief in the wonderful scientists in the Food and Drug Administration ... If they decide that a vaccine will be safe and effective, I will do so and encourage my family to get the vaccine."
