On September 17, with the completion of the concrete pouring of the last side, the main stadium of the Asian Cup Dalian Division and the only seaside football stadium in China surrounded by the sea on three sides-Dalian Barracuda Bay professional football stadium project ushered in the full capping of the main structure.
As the main stadium of the 2023 China Asian Cup in Dalian, the Dalian Barracuda Bay professional football stadium project is invested by the Dalian Municipal Government, and the EPC general contractor is the Northeast Branch of China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau.
The project started construction in October 2020. The project covers a total area of about 265,000 square meters and a total construction area of about 136,000 square meters. It is positioned as a 63,000-seat super football field and is the first professional football field in Dalian.
The architectural design of the project is inspired by the "waves and conch": the building has a beautiful and dynamic appearance, and the surface looks like a sparkling sea, reflecting the coastal cultural characteristics of the romantic city of Dalian; the spiraling curve comes from the conch, meaning the famous football city of Dalian. The urban spirit of moving forward with waves and striving to make progress.
In the morning of the same day, Dalian Barracuda Bay professional football stadium project held the first hoisting ceremony of the roof pressure ring beam.
Witnessed by the Dalian Municipal Government, the Dalian Division of the Asian Organizing Committee and the participating units, the Dalian Barracuda Bay Project Department of MCC North Company successfully hoisted the first section of the pressure ring beam components, marking the entry of the project into the main steel structure construction stage.
