The first new corona expert subcommittee after the inauguration of the Kan Cabinet begins September 25, 14:47

A subcommittee by experts was held for the first time since the Kan Cabinet was established over measures against the new coronavirus, and Minister Nishimura, who is in charge of economic revitalization, will hold a "Go To event" to evoke demand for events after mid-next month. We asked for opinions on the government's policy to start.

The government's subcommittee on measures against the new coronavirus, which was the first since the Kan Cabinet was established, began at 1:00 pm and was attended by Minister of Economic Revitalization Nishimura and Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Tamura.

Among the government's consumption stimulus measures, Minister Nishimura announced a policy to start "Go To Event" that evokes demand for events and "Go To Shopping Street" that supports shopping streets from the middle of next month. We asked for opinions on infection prevention measures that people should protect.

We also requested that from the 1st of next month, we will include points to note regarding the addition of trips to and from Tokyo to the scope of "Go To Travel."

In addition, Minister Nishimura said that in order to start vaccination, medical workers at high risk of infection should be given priority, and the national government should take necessary financial measures to prevent the burden on local governments. We also asked for opinions on the draft of the interim guidelines.

On the other hand, Minister Tamura said, "We are worried about the simultaneous epidemic with influenza in the fall and winter, so we will ask the prefectures to establish a system that can carry out thorough inspections."
