Something new for the bike.
This Monday, the Ile-de-France region and the cycling collective unveiled the route of the five priority axes of the future Regional express bicycle network (RER-V).
“In a context where Ile-de-France residents favor the bicycle as a daily mode of transport, the Ile-de-France region is continuing the process by launching the first steering committees for the five priority axes, in co-chairmanship with the bicycle collective, thus implementing the real launch of work with all of its partners, ”announces the community in a press release.
Five axes
Five axes are therefore the subject of steering committees: Line A1 (Paris - La Défense - Cergy-Pontoise), line A2 (Paris - Marne-la-Vallée), line B3 (Paris - Massy - Saclay - Plaisir ), line D1 (Paris - Saint-Denis - Le Mesnil-Aubry), and line D2 (Paris - Choisy-le-Roi - Corbeil-Essonnes).
According to the Ile-de-France region, these cycling facilities "meet an ambitious technical standard, allowing all Ile-de-France residents to travel safely on this network".
The first vélopolitain line in Paris was launched in December 2019.
