The FDA is recalling huge quantities of "peanut butter" contaminated with salmonella

American food company JM Smucker has issued a decision to recall a number of specific Jif peanut butter products sold in the United States due to salmonella contamination, according to Fox News.

According to the US Food and Drug Administration, 14 people in 12 states reported getting sick after eating some Jif peanut butter products, which led to them being sent to the hospital.

JM Smucker said the recall affects different types of its products including creamy peanut butter, crunchy peanut butter, ready-to-eat peanut butter packages, and more, Fox News reported.
