The new law will come into effect on January 1, 2022.

  The law clarifies that the parents or other guardians of minors are responsible for the implementation of family education.

The state and society provide guidance, support and services for family education.

  In response to the "double reduction" requirement of reducing the burden of students’ homework and off-campus training in compulsory education, the law stipulates that local people’s governments at or above the county level should strengthen supervision and management, reduce the burden of students’ homework and off-campus training in compulsory education, and smooth school-family communication Channels to promote the coordination of school education and family education.

Parents or other guardians of minors shall reasonably arrange the time for minors to study, rest, entertainment and physical exercises to avoid increasing the burden of minors’ studies and prevent minors from indulging in the Internet.
