The explosion of the vehicle of a French driver on the Dakar was an attack

On December 30, the vehicle of Frenchman Philippe Boutron exploded, seriously injuring the Frenchman engaged in the Dakar 2022, in Saudi Arabia.

And the only possible explanation is the installation of an “improvised explosive device”, indicated Friday a source close to the file, confirming information from RTL.

According to this source, the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office (Pnat) traveled to Saudi Arabia with investigators from the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI) and technicians from the technical and scientific police, who were able to take samples from the vehicle.
