The European Union bans the Russian airline Skol Airline from flying to Europe

The corresponding decision was taken out of fears that the airline "will not be able to meet international safety standards."

Thus, Skol Airline became the first Russian carrier to be included in the EU blacklist of 97 airlines.

Earlier, Bloomberg, citing an unnamed European official, reported that the European Union authorities are discussing the possibility of imposing sanctions against Aeroflot amid the migration crisis on the Polish border.
