The Emirates Racing Authority, in cooperation with the Dubai Racing Club, announced the launch of an initiative to qualify and train national cadres in the field of supervising races, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Emirates Racing Authority.

The initiative aims to support the racing sector with a professional Emirati technical cadre with all the skills and capabilities in the field of racing supervision.

Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Emirates Racing Authority and Chairman of the Dubai Racing Club, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for his support of this initiative, which is the first of its kind in the field of racing at the level of Country.

Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum stressed that this initiative comes from the belief in the importance of investing the citizen’s human resource in the field of horse racing, which is an integral part of our Arab and Islamic heritage and history, noting that the UAE races enjoy a global stature thanks to the unlimited support of our wise leadership, which made It is an example to be emulated globally, and that the time has come for the people of the country to enter the technical and administrative field to supervise the races through this initiative aimed at building and developing national competencies.

Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmouk said: “The initiative will provide the opportunity for young people who wish to enter the field of horse racing supervision, to be part of this global industry, by engaging in a number of theoretical and practical programs under the supervision of a group of experts in this field, so that our youth is founded on the right rules. We are confident that the UAE youth will demonstrate their leadership skills in this field, and most importantly, learn, innovate and develop ideas that will contribute to its development.”

For his part, the Director General of the Emirates Racing Authority, Eng. Mohammed Al Shehhi, confirmed that the training program serves as a starting point for the nation's youth in this sport, which enjoys a special place in the UAE society.
