The Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports clarifies the nature of Mortada Mansour's return to Zamalek

The Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, revealed the fact that former Zamalek club president Mortada Mansour had returned to the Zamalek club, noting that what the latter mentioned in the video that he recently broadcast is unfounded, about his being considered the legitimate president of the club, but that he is going to Zamalek to collect his belongings. from his office.

Sobhi said in televised statements that "Mortada Mansour contacted Hussein Labib, head of the temporary committee of Zamalek, to inform him of his attendance at the club next Thursday to collect his belongings from his office, and this is his right," stressing that "what was reported about his return to the presidency of Zamalek is incorrect."

He explained, "New elections will be called in the Zamalek club before the end of next August."

Mortada Mansour had posted a video on his Facebook page in which he set a date for his return to the Zamalek club, and said: "I will go on Thursday at six o'clock in the evening to the headquarters of the Zamalek Club, as well as on Friday .. I will go to my office in the Zamalek club because I am the president of Zamalek law, as confirmed by the court.

It is noteworthy that the Administrative Court of Justice in Egypt accepted, earlier, the lawsuit filed by the former president of Zamalek, Mortada Mansour, in which he demanded to stop the decision issued by the Egyptian Olympic Committee, to stop him from practicing any sports activity for a period of four years, and to oblige the management of Zamalek Club to call for a general assembly to elect a president New to the club.
