The Egyptian Federation shows goodwill to restore Queiroz
The Egyptian Football Association took a goodwill step with Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz, in order to agree with him to take over the leadership of the national team again, succeeding national coach Ihab Galal, who was sacked less than two months after his appointment as coach of the Pharaohs.
The media, Ahmed Schubert, revealed that the Football Association sent the Portuguese coach the rest of his overdue dues to the Football Association during his first term, which the President of the Football Association, Jamal Allam, refused to grant him after their separation last April.
Schubert said: "Kirosh complained during his negotiations with a member of the board of directors, Hazem Imam, about his return to lead the national team's training, with the president of the federation refusing to pay the rest of his financial dues, he and his assistant staff, but in front of the intervention and facilitated the task of obtaining all his financial dues."
He added, "This step has greatly improved Queiroz's relations with the Egyptian Football Association, and the Portuguese coach may agree to take over the task of coaching the national team, as he requested three days of time before resolving his final position on the Egyptian offer."
