The Spanish newspaper "Marca" published a list of the players and coaches of the "imprisoned" who are most vulnerable to effective defeats in the history of football championship finals, topped by Barcelona defender and former Argentine national team, Javier Mascherano after losing 11 final matches during his professional career, while the list included his fellow former Egyptian national team coach Hector Cooper.
Mascherano had lost with his country the 2014 World Cup final in Brazil, as well as four finals of the Copa America years (2004, 2007, 2015 and 2016).
And came in second place, the retired French Patrice Evra, as he lost more than the final matches of the Champions League, where he fell with Monaco against Porto in 2004, and with Manchester United English (2009 and 2011) against Barcelona, and with Juventus in 2015 against Barcelona also, and won the title Only once in 2008 with Manchester United, at the expense of Chelsea.
Aryan Ruben, a retired Dutch national football star, finished in the third place with six final matches, including two Champions League finals, against Inter Milan in 2010, and Chelsea in 2012, three Super Cups, and the 2010 World Cup final in South Africa in front of Spain national team.
On the coaches' level, the former Argentine coach, Hector Cuper, topped the ranking, while he came in the overall arrangement with the players in fifth place, as he lost in six finals, most notably the African Nations Cup final with Egypt, and before that two crucial matches of the European Champions League with Valencia, Spain.
