　　The five-act play "Fog Chongqing" was originally called "Whip" and is one of the masterpieces written in 1940 by the well-known Chinese playwright Song Zhi.

The play describes the tragedy of a group of college students who fled from Beijing to Chongqing, the capital of the Nationalist government during the war, struggling and sinking in the real environment.

Unlike simple and straightforward expressions of patriotic sentiment, "Fog Chongqing" does not directly preach the theme of the War of Resistance against Japan. Instead, it truly portrays people's helplessness and pursuit of a peaceful life during the war, which arouses the audience to think more.

　　On December 26, 1940, "Fog Chongqing", which was rehearsed by China Long Live Theater and directed by Ying Yunwei, was premiered in Chongqing Cathay Theater. The play is also performed in Chengdu, Guilin, Jiang'an, Hong Kong and other places, and the daily performance tickets are in short supply.
