The episode lasted barely half an hour. The city of Lyon was swept by a violent thunderstorm this Wednesday afternoon. Rain, gusts of wind, hail ... In the space of 10 minutes, the quays, streets of the Presqu'ile, entrances to metro stations and cycle paths were flooded. Many videos have been posted on social networks. Nearly 23 millimeters of water fell in thirty minutes, indicates the Météo Villes website.

Météo-France has placed 9 departments in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region on orange alert. These thunderstorms, which should be accompanied over the hours by a drop in temperatures, will continue on Thursday in the region, in a less violent manner.
