A future school that will be built in the Devèze district, in Béziers (Hérault), will be named after Samuel Paty, the city said on Monday, headed since 2014 by Robert Ménard (various right).

During the city council on Monday, the elected officials voted unanimously to rename the future school of Olives named after the teacher, assassinated on October 16, in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine (Yvelines).

In its decision approved Monday, the municipality indicates that it has obtained "the agreement of the head of the establishment".
