According to the deputy chairman of the Central Bank, Mikhail Alekseev, a new hundred-ruble banknote may be presented within the next months or "maybe even weeks."

In addition, new banknotes of 1,000 and 5,000 rubles are expected to enter circulation in 2023.

In 2024, it is planned to issue a banknote of 500 rubles, and in 2025 - ten and 50 rubles.

Earlier, Alekseev reported that by the end of 2022, a new banknote with a face value of 100 rubles would go into circulation in a noticeable amount.

According to the Central Bank, the turnover will gradually be saturated with new banknotes in 2023-2025, and in 2026-2029 their share will become very significant.
