China News Agency, Beijing, June 27. The 2020-2021 season CBA League Draft Conference is scheduled to be held on August 21, 2020. Qualified players from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan may apply for the election.

The Chinese Basketball Association (Beijing) Sports Co., Ltd. (CBA) recently issued a letter regarding the registration of the 2020-2021 season CBA league draft. The draft registration time is from July 1 to August 5, 2020, which is in line with the draft. The list of qualified players will be published on the official website of the CBA League from August 7 to 11, and the draft conference is scheduled to be held on August 21 (the specific location and schedule will be notified separately).

The CBA League makes requirements for the registration requirements of players participating in the draft:

Mainland Chinese players must be 18 years old and above (born before January 1, 2003, whichever is the year), and have never registered in the CBA League; if they have registered to participate in the CUBA League (China University Basketball League), they must be 21 Above the age (born on or before December 31, 1999, whichever is the year, except recommended by the college student sports association).

For Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan players to register for the draft, they must meet three conditions: no other nationalities, non-naturalized players, have participated in the highest level league in their region or have been selected in the local team (the certification letter issued by the local basketball association shall prevail) ).

The other time nodes of the CBA draft are also determined at the same time: the pick trading time is from July 28 to August 7; the pick trading result is announced on August 9; the lottery draw and the final draft pick time is August 10th.

The CBA Draft started in 2015, and gradually went on track after experiencing the embarrassment of few previous sessions. In the 2019 CBA Draft, 10 teams participated in the selection and 16 players were selected.

The ongoing CBA rematch this season, due to the impact of the epidemic, the foreign aid of most teams failed to return to the team, but also provided more opportunities for local players to participate. Guo Kai, Chen Yingjun, Jiang Yuxing and other outstanding performances of previous "Champion Shows" have also become "live ads" for this year's CBA Draft. (Finish)
