With the theme of "Building a Bridge for Cross-Strait Academic Exchange and Promoting the Future Growth of Young Scientists", the forum focused on smart surveying and mapping, disaster prevention and mitigation, architectural heritage protection, and intelligent rehabilitation industry.

  Affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, this forum invites experts, scholars, representatives of entrepreneurs, and representatives of scientific and technological workers to conduct online academic exchanges and technical seminars through directional live broadcast, video recording and other methods.

  The Beijing-Taiwan Young Scientists Forum has been held in 2004 and has established an active and effective exchange platform for scientific and technological academic organizations, industry associations and young scientific and technological workers in the two places.

  Scholars such as Xue Qikun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and vice chairman of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, were invited to give speeches via video.

Xue Qikun offered three hopes to young scientific and technological workers on both sides of the strait.

  Tian Wen, member of the party group, vice chairman and first-level inspector of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, said in his opening speech that the Beijing Association for Science and Technology will continue to work with brothers in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Taiwan regions to strengthen exchanges and work together for young scientific and technological workers on both sides of the strait.   Xiao Wenyi, chairman of the Taiwan Fire Education and Academic Research Foundation, said in a video speech: "Cross-Strait communication will lead to smoothness, harmony will lead to a win-win situation. I believe that the people on both sides of the strait will work together to achieve a closer cooperative relationship.   This forum invited experts such as Zhang Qiang, Professor of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua University, and Tseng Junru, Chairman of the Taiwan Medical Design Society, to share their opinions on topics such as "carbon neutrality", kitchen waste recycling technology, smart and healthy living, medical care, and the Winter Olympics.   At the parallel forum "Helping Taiwanese-funded enterprises to innovate and develop", representatives of Taiwan-funded enterprises introduced the basic situation of their respective enterprises, their production problems, and their technical needs.
