The Professional League announced yesterday, in coordination with the Football Association, the launch of the new sports season 2020-2021 on October 8th through the Arab Gulf Cup competition with its new system, where the preliminary rounds will be held in two rounds: the first on October 8 and 9, 2020, then the second on 12 and 13 Nov.

Yesterday, the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority confirmed the return of sports activity in the country, with specific procedures and controls to prevent the spread of the virus.

The first round will witness three matches, as Kalba hosts Al-Jazira and Hatta with Bani Yas, and the first day's competitions will be concluded with the Fujairah and Ajman meeting.

On the second day, Al-Ahly youth host Al Dhafra, and Khor Fakkan will host Al Ain.

And it ends with confronting the unit to the Al Wasl team.

According to the new competition system, Sharjah, the Arab Gulf League champion, and Al-Nasr, the Arab Gulf Cup champion, will climb directly to the quarter-finals.

As for the Arab Gulf League, it will start on October 16 with the holding of the first round over two days (16 and 17 October). On its first day, Al-Wahda will be hosted at 6:15 pm, and Ajman will be hosted by Al Dhafra at the same time.

Fujairah and Sharjah will meet at nine in the evening, and Al-Wasl Bani Yas at the same time.

The second day will witness the holding of three matches, two games will be held at 6:15 pm, the first meeting between Kalba and Shabab Al-Ahly, and in the second meeting Al Ain and Khor Fakkan.

And it ends with facing victory for the island at nine in the evening.

The first round of the Arabian Gulf League championship is scheduled to be concluded with round 13 on January 4 and 5, 2021.

On the other hand, the FIFA Competitions Committee decided yesterday to launch the preliminary qualifiers for the President's Cup on October 9, and also approved the date of November 13 for the start of the First Division League, to be concluded on April 24, and December 5 and 6 for the 16th round in the Cup, then the quarter-finals on 21 and 22 Dec.

The Arab Gulf League starts October 16th ... and the Amateur League on November 13th.
