The administrators of Facebook and Twitter appear before the US Congress on October 28th
The directors of "Facebook" and "Twitter", Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey will appear before a Senate committee on October 28, to present their statements regarding the responsibility of social networks for their content.
Twitter said that the hearing before the Senate Trade Committee should focus on "joint work to protect the elections."
The aforementioned committee voted unanimously in addition to summoning the directors of "Twitter", "Facebook" and "Google" to hold a hearing about the Internet companies' exemption from liability for the content.
The directors of the companies will give their statements remotely, via video technology.
The US administration had proposed a legislative amendment aimed at limiting the privileges of internet companies, after US President Donald Trump accused the companies that own social networking sites of political bias towards his opponents.
