The "Coalition" denies the authenticity of media reports about targeting a detention center in Saada Governorate

The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition denied the media reports about targeting a detention center in the Yemeni governorate of Saada.

Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, the official spokesman for the coalition forces, said that the leadership of the joint forces of the coalition followed up what was reported by some media agencies after the Houthi terrorist militia announced that the coalition had targeted a detention center in Saada governorate at dawn yesterday, claiming that there were victims among the detainees inside, and that these allegations made by the Houthi militias are not correct.

The Saudi Press Agency quoted Brigadier Al-Maliki as saying that the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition takes such reports seriously, and a comprehensive review of the post-action procedures (AAR) was conducted according to the internal mechanism of the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition, and it was found that these allegations are not true.

Brigadier Al-Maliki indicated that what was marketed by the terrorist Houthi militia expresses their usual deceptive approach, and that the alleged target was not included on the non-targeting lists (NSL) according to the mechanism approved with the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen (OCHA) and was not reported by the committee The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and the standards set forth in the provisions of international humanitarian law and its customary rules relating to detention centers contained in Article (23) of the Third Geneva Convention for Prisoners of War, as well as the preventive measures and marks of discrimination stipulated therein.

Brigadier Al-Maliki confirmed that the leadership of the joint forces of the coalition will inform the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen and the International Committee of the Red Cross on the facts and details, as well as the media misinformation practiced by the terrorist Houthi militias of the target and the location in question.
