Elon Musk confirmed on Twitter the release of the Plaid version of Tesla's Model S "this week".
In his publication online this Sunday, the CEO of the automaker however announced that the Plaid Plus version was "canceled".
He added that the latter was unnecessary given that "Plaid is already so good", before detailing the performances justifying his judgment.

The Model S Plaid is thus described as “the fastest production car ever made in all categories”.
The vehicle is able to go "from 0 to 60 miles per hour (97 km / h) in two seconds," said the billionaire via the social network.
The car is equipped with three engines with a total output of 1,020 horsepower and offers a range of around 627 kilometers, says CNBC.
A release scheduled for June 10
The Plaid Plus model promised the same acceleration capacity.
Its engines, on the other hand, developed 1,100 horsepower and promised a range of 520 miles (837 kilometers).
Its sale price was set at $ 150,000, or just over 123,000 euros.
The classic Plaid version will be marketed at a price of 119,000 dollars (around 98,000 euros) in its most luxurious configuration.

The first delivery of the newcomer was initially scheduled for this Thursday.
On May 29, Elon Musk had repelled it by announcing a ceremony Thursday, June 10 at the Tesla factory in Fremont, California.
The leader explained on Twitter that the car needed "another week to make small changes."
He took the opportunity to assert that the Model S Plaid gave the impression of being in "a spaceship".
