Exclusive Interview with Headquarters丨Taliban Spokesperson: The Doha Talks have achieved positive results and hope they will continue in the future

  From November 27th to 29th local time, the Afghan Taliban held talks with the EU and US delegations in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

In this regard, Zmaryali Abasin, reporter of China Central Radio and Television CGTN, exclusively interviewed Taliban spokesperson Sohail Shahin on the 30th.

  Shaheen said that the talks with the European Union mainly discussed the situation in Afghanistan, humanitarian assistance, security, and the provision of safe passages for people who wish to leave Afghanistan.

The talks are positive and I hope they will continue to be held in the future.

  Shahin revealed that the Taliban delegation led by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan Mutaki and the U.S. delegation held talks on November 28 and 29, respectively, focusing on anti-terrorism, the United States and other foreign citizens, and Afghanistan, which had previously cooperated with the United States. Issues such as the safe passage of citizens were discussed.

Shahin said that discussing and resolving issues through talks can make the two sides more accepting. Certain results have been achieved this time, and more talks are expected to be held in the future.
