Expo 2020 Dubai has announced the appointment of Talabat, a company specialized in food delivery and express trade services, as the official provider of food and beverage delivery services.

A statement issued yesterday stated that Talabat will offer visitors to the largest cultural gathering in the world, in cooperation with more than 30 restaurants, dishes and dishes from 15 international cuisines to suit all tastes. And experiences about the future of food delivery services, including the use of self-driving carts to deliver orders, and “robots” to prepare ice cream and coffee, and serve them to visitors to the international event.

According to the statement, Talabat will provide food and drinks to visitors in the restaurant, or deliver it to specific places within the Expo 2020 Dubai site, through Talabat delivery drivers who will drive safe, environmentally friendly and sustainable electric bikes.

Director of Food and Beverage Department at Expo 2020 Dubai, Jalal Abdul Latif, said that every visitor to "Expo 2020 Dubai" will find what interests and appeals to him, pointing out that food is a pivotal and essential component of the diverse and rich cultural experience that the exhibition provides to its visitors.

He added: “Everyone will have the opportunity to discover delicious dishes from various international kitchens, and we are looking forward to unveiling many distinguished innovations in the field of food and beverages, such as the (Talabat) cloud kitchen, which represents an important transformation in this sector, and will add great diversity to the visitors’ experience and enrich it.”

In turn, Tommaso Rodriguez, CEO of Talabat, said: “We are less than 50 days away from Expo 2020 Dubai, and we are excited to showcase to the world the future of food delivery technologies, as well as to support the UAE in celebrating its visitors from all over the world.”

He continued: "(Expo 2020 Dubai) is a beacon of hope for a better future for our world, and through our cooperation with the exhibition, we will be able to present some of the perceptions and models of future projects that we are working on, such as the cloud kitchen, which will provide many unique features," explaining that the cloud kitchen will present a diverse list. Of the international dishes that are prepared fresh, and will contribute to reducing waste, and increase the efficiency and speed of food delivery services.

The signing of the agreement was attended by a delegation from Expo 2020 Dubai, and from Talabat: Vice President of Regional Planning Oner Algon, Financial Director Khaled Al-Faqash, Product Manager Ye-Wei Ang, and Human Resources Manager Hana Nardel.

Visitors to Expo 2020 Dubai can order their favorite meals and drinks through the Talabat application, which is available on the Google Play app store and the App Store, as well as the Huawei app store.
