Téléfoot, the new major broadcaster of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, continues to establish itself: the channel and Netflix announced on Thursday a bundled offer at 29.90 euros per month, going to the field of Canal + with its offer of series and soccer.

"This bundled offer combining a Téléfoot subscription and a Netflix subscription will be available from August 17 at less than € 30 per month", announced Netflix and Mediapro, the Sino-Spanish owner of the Téléfoot channel, in a joint statement.

This bundled offer follows by three days the partnership announced Monday with SFR, a subsidiary of the Altice group, allowing Téléfoot in particular to co-broadcast the Champions League in 2020-2021 and to be available on SFR boxes.

Mediapro has also allied itself with TF1, by concluding a license agreement to use the brand of the famous magazine of the first channel created in 1977 and by relying on the duo Grégoire Margotton-Bixente Lizararu to comment on about twenty L1 matches. Sunday evening.

Mediapro had won to everyone's surprise, in May 2018, the main broadcasting rights for Ligue 1 for the period 2020-2024, even though the group did not have a television channel in France. Maxime Saada, the boss of Canal +, then wondered if Mediapro was able "to go to the end of its approach financially".

But, a little less than a month from the start of Ligue 1, whose first match is scheduled for August 21, the contours of Téléfoot are becoming clearer.

If a supporter wants to subscribe, it will cost him 25.90 euros per month with a one-year commitment, or 29.90 euros per month without commitment. The various partnerships forged should enable the channel to eventually reach its objective of 3.5 million subscribers.

The new bundle includes a Téléfoot subscription with a one-year commitment as well as a Netflix Standard subscription giving access to HD content on two screens.

"We are delighted with this unprecedented and innovative partnership which will allow us to offer the best of French and European football and the best of entertainment within the same commercial offer at a very attractive price", underlined Jaume Roures, partner- founder of Mediapro and Julien Bergeaud, managing director of Mediapro sport France.

The Spanish company with Chinese capital already announced Monday a distribution agreement with SFR, a subsidiary of the Altice group, allowing it in particular to co-broadcast the Champions League in 2020-2021 and to be available on the SFR boxes.
