The official Al-Ekhbariya TV channel and the Syrian Arab News Agency reported that the Syrian air defenses repelled an "Israeli aggression" in the vicinity of Damascus.
"SANA" broadcast pictures showing what it said was the process of confronting these hostile targets.
In the same context, the agency quoted a military source as saying that Israel carried out an air aggression with rockets from the direction southeast of Beirut, targeting some points in the vicinity of the city of Damascus and the vicinity of the city of Homs.
The military source said that the air defenses confronted the missiles and shot down most of them.
On Tuesday, Israeli warplanes bombed Syrian sites in the Quneitra governorate, on the Syrian side of the ceasefire line in the occupied Golan.
