Syndicate of Musical Professions about changing the names of singers: We saved them from their miserable condition!
The Syndicate of Musical Professions in Egypt has resolved the controversy over the decision to impose changing the names of some festival singers, as a condition for accepting their requests to join the syndicate.
The Syndicate called on some media platforms and channels to investigate the accuracy of what is published, stressing that it has not retracted its position on those who are not members of it or are not authorized on the list it published.
And she said in a statement, according to "Russia Today", that "the union accepts or rejects any applicant to sing according to well-known vocal and technical rules, and it will never change or alter ... the need for the applicant to complete its membership or be authorized to sing the papers required by law, the most important of which is the conscription position, Criminal record, academic qualification, or proficiency in reading and writing.
She added, "The syndicate does not have what is called a festivals division. There is a division for singing, folk singing and monologue, and other people, and the applicant must own the technical rules of the division he is applying for through a committee formed of Egypt's top musicians who are known for their competence."
And the union continued, according to the Egyptian "Akhbar Al-Youm", "The names that passed the test are popular voices, and when they joined the union, they adhered to the word and the appropriate form of the performer or singer, as befits their affiliation to a large entity, the Syndicate of Musical Professions, and the miserable state they were in before joining the union has largely disappeared." .
She stressed that: "The Syndicate of Musical Professions is not civil cases that change and change names, but it is concerned with preserving the shape and body of the singer and the elements of his personality, in addition to the content of word and movement. The union had to request that it be changed to what is acceptable to preserve a song worthy of a society surrounded by sober values and morals, including the performer’s personality and body, which includes his inseparable nickname.
Recently, the Musicians' Syndicate accepted the membership of a number of popular singers in preparation for their return to resume their activities again, but the return came after passing exams and submitting their official papers to the Musicians Syndicate.
