The Commissioner-General of the Swiss Pavilion and Chairman of the Steering Committee of "Expo 2020 Dubai", Manuel Salchely, said that the costs of establishing the Swiss pavilion at the upcoming international exhibition, which will start on the first of next October, amounted to nine million Swiss francs (more than 36 million dirhams), explaining that The total cost of the project and participation is 16.5 million Swiss francs (about 66.2 million dirhams).

Salchely added to "Emirates Today" that the Swiss pavilion is based on the public-private partnership model, noting that so far 30 Swiss companies will participate in the pavilion, expecting that the pavilion will receive about 10,000 visitors per day.

Salchely stated that the UAE is Switzerland's most important trading partner in the Middle East, with strong economic relations.

He said, "Thanks to the encouraging and favorable business environment that characterizes the country, there are many Swiss companies that are already doing business in the UAE, and therefore (Expo 2020 Dubai) is an ideal platform to build on that."
