November 29, 2020 The referendum in Switzerland that wanted to make companies based in the country responsible for environmental crimes and exploitation abroad was rejected.
The text did not in fact obtain the majority request of the cantons, writes the Swiss news agency Keystone-Ats.
Since this was a change in the Constitution, the popular initiative required a double majority of the voters and the cantons to be approved.
The referendum based on the proposal "For a ban on financing war material producers" was also rejected.
