November 21, 2020A 32-year-old worker died in an accident in an excavation area, while he was laying some sewer pipes in the Municipality of Costabissara (Vicenza).   

The victim was working with his father when, around 12.30, according to preliminary information, he was overwhelmed by a mass of earth that had been removed for the excavation.

The man was then loaded by his father into a vehicle and taken to a nearby house in Gambugliano, where the Fire Brigade arrived;

upon their arrival he was unconscious and was subjected to cardiopulmonary resuscitation until the arrival of the SUEM personnel with the helicopter and an ambulance, which continued the maneuvers for a long time.

Unfortunately the doctor had to declare his death.
