Ivarson writes that she will now devote herself to studies in Switzerland and thanks for everything she has experienced.

"I am proud of what I have achieved and hope that I have inspired someone to follow my journey to continue fighting and to drive super-G and downhill," writes Ivarson and says that she "given the situation" found it too difficult to continue.

Her best place in the World Cup is a 21st place in super-G in Lake Louise, Canada, 2019. Last season she took points in two downhill races by being 28th and 30th.

Her best World Cup efforts also remained in that span with a 24th and a 29th place in downhill, the latest placement at this year's World Cup in Cortina d'Ampezzo.

It was a short career when the first VC start was in Val d'Isere in December 2017.
