The police have an ongoing operation in the Råby district in Västerås after an alarm about a suspected dangerous object.
- It was a passer-by who saw this object and thought it looked strange, says Viktor Dicksved, RLC officer at the police.
The site has been cordoned off while waiting for the National Bomb Service.
Residents in the vicinity have been contacted by the police, who have asked them to stay inside their homes.
It is unclear what kind of object it is.
- I can not comment on that at the moment, we are waiting for the bomb protection and their assessment, says Viktor Dicksved.
