Ahrensfelde (dpa / bb) - In Ahrensfelde (Barnim), a supermarket has burned down completely.
Nobody was injured in the fire early on Saturday morning, as reported by the Northeast regional control center.
Around 100 firefighters were on duty to prevent the flames from spreading to other buildings and to put out the fire.
The residents of neighboring houses had to leave their apartments for a short time, especially because of the smoke gases, but have already returned to their homes, said a spokesman for the regional control center.
According to the police, the cause of the fire was initially unclear.
The extinguishing work continued until Saturday morning.
