Sun Downs apologizes to Al-Ahly for the abuse of the masses

The Sun Downs club presented an official apology to the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club for what some fans did in front of the team bus before the two teams' confrontation that took place on Saturday in Pretoria in the second leg of the 8th round of the African Champions League.

Some of the fans supporting the Sun Downs team were present in front of the Al-Ahly bus during their trip to the match stadium, and they raised banners criticizing Pitso Musimani, the coach of the red team who was the coach of the Sun Downs earlier.

And Sun Downs said in an official statement today that he apologizes to Al-Ahly and all his fans for this matter and will open an investigation to take the necessary measures against the fans.

The club stated: "The behavior and attitude that occurred is unacceptable and does not reflect integrity, respect, brotherhood and the values ​​that we apply ... We are committed to maintaining good relations and mutual respect between the leaders of the two clubs, and all those with a common interest."

Al-Ahly qualified for the semi-final round of the African Champions League after they drew with Sun Downs 1/1 yesterday, Saturday, in the second leg of the eight-legged tournament, to qualify as a winner in the two matches, the first and second matches 1/3 after winning the first leg with two clean goals.
