Sebastian Vettel was subsequently disqualified at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

This was announced by the Formula 1 race stewards on Sunday at the Hungaroring.

An investigation found only 0.3 liters of fuel in the tank of Vettels Aston Martin.

However, at least one liter is required after the end of the race.

Vettel lost his second place behind sensation winner Esteban Ocon in the Alpine.

Lewis Hamilton moved up to second place in the Mercedes. The seven-time world champion thus got 18 instead of 15 points and was able to increase his lead in the World Championship ranking over Max Verstappen in the Red Bull by two more points to eight points. The Dutchman had initially taken tenth place (1 point) in a turbulent and eventful race near Budapest, but also climbed one place due to the Vettel disqualification, for which there were two points.
