[Concurrent] Su Yongan, Permanent Honorary Chairman of the Hong Kong Cross-Strait Peaceful Development Federation and Chairman of Xuda Group

In the past few years, the opposition has turned Hong Kong, the economic capital and commercial city, into a political arena.

I think democracy is for the pursuit of a better life, not for sowing hatred.

Facts show that perfecting this electoral system can truly lead democracy to a higher quality (development).

[Explanation] A few days ago, Su Yongan, the permanent honorary chairman of the Hong Kong Cross-Strait Peaceful Development Federation and chairman of the Xuda Group, pointed out in an exclusive interview with a reporter from China News Agency that only by improving the Hong Kong election system can Hong Kong move towards a higher quality democracy.

He said that he is very concerned about the "March 11 decision" of the National People's Congress and the "March 30 amendment" of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.

He believes that the revised Annex II of the Basic Law clearly stipulates the method for forming the Legislative Council, which is conducive to ensuring the smooth operation of the Legislative Council.

It is clearly stated in Annex II that 40 members of the Legislative Council are elected from the Election Committee, which can ensure the smooth operation of the Legislative Council and support Hong Kong's implementation of executive leadership. This measure is very targeted, decisive, and critical.

[Explanation] Recalling the chaos that occurred in Hong Kong in the past two years, Su Yongan said with emotion that social unrest has seriously affected the development of Hong Kong's economy.

The implementation of the Hong Kong National Security Law in 2020 will allow Hong Kong to rule from chaos. It is believed that the improvement of the electoral system will enable the people-friendly policy to be implemented, and Hong Kong will have long-term stability and stability.

The National Security Law came out and (Hong Kong society) quickly stabilized. This is the foundation of social and economic prosperity and a necessary condition for Hong Kong to set off again.

After the National Security Law, our next step is to prosper the economy. Therefore, the revision of this electoral law can ensure social stability and the Legislative Council’s policy of benefiting the people can be implemented. Otherwise, it will stay there forever. When will the people wait, the people don’t see it. To hope.

The combination of the two (policies) is definitely beneficial to Hong Kong.

[Explanation] Su Yongan, born in an overseas Chinese industrial and commercial family, has family businesses in Singapore, the Philippines and mainland China.

In the early days of the founding of New China, Su Yongan’s father responded to a public-private partnership and became the chief of the county commerce section from a private owner. In the last few years of his life, he was still sick and used overseas relations to attract investment from his hometown.

Su Yongan said that his father's teachings made him unforgettable forever.

When he was dying, because he had a cool breeze and had no will, he asked me to go to build a primary school. He said that this education is very important. Only when the education is good will the family go up and the country will be prosperous and strong.

[Explanation] Adhering to his father's will, Su Yongan, who has a successful career, not only donated to build a school in his hometown, but also organized an art museum in his hometown in his father's name to support cultural and educational undertakings in the Mainland.

At the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan, in Su Yongan's view, Hong Kong should also give full play to its advantages in the field of science and innovation, and encourage Hong Kong youth to actively integrate into the development of the Greater Bay Area and participate in national construction.

In line with the national economic development plan of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and integrating into the Greater Bay Area, Hong Kong can serve as a research center.

The Shenzhen incubation base and the manufacturing in the Greater Bay Area form a gleaming industrial chain in which young people from Hong Kong can participate.

In the future, Hong Kong will have to let them bear the burden. The young generation needs to have the emotion of loving Hong Kong, more need to have patriotic feelings, and also have an international perspective.
