"On September 24, 2020, Russian airspace control over Poland detected a US Air Force B-52H strategic bomber approaching the Russian state border," the department said.
To prevent the American aircraft from violating the Russian border, the Su-27 of the Western Military District was raised into the air.
After removing the B-52H from the Russian state border, the Su-27 returned to the home airfield.
On September 18, the Su-27 intercepted a US patrol aircraft over the Black Sea.
