The international biathlon debut is delayed for Stina Nilsson.

The plan is for the ski star, who has now changed to biathlon, to initially compete in the IBU Cup this winter - the level during the World Cup.

The planned competitions in November and December have now been canceled, writes the International Biathlon Federation (IBU) in a press release.

Instead, they plan for a season start on January 11-16.

Competition location is not determined.

The open European Championship competitions will go as planned in Polish Duszniki Zdroj starting on January 24.

Had trouble with the elbow

Stina Nilsson is currently rehabilitating an injury to her left elbow.

SVT Sport broadcasts Nilsson's national competition debut which takes place on 23-24 November in Idre.
