Due to the limited amount of the new corona vaccine, in Kishiwada City, Osaka, we narrowed down the target population to those over 90 years old and started vaccination on the 20th.

Priority vaccination of the new corona vaccine has started on April 12 for the elderly aged 65 and over, but the current situation is that the amount of vaccine supplied to local governments is limited relative to the number of subjects. ..

In Kishiwada City, the initial allocation is limited to 480 people, so we decided to target about 3000 elderly people aged 90 and over, and mass inoculation began on the 20th.

120 people who made a reservation visited the city's medical center with their families, and were vaccinated after being interviewed by a doctor.

Then, I went home after watching the situation for 15 to 30 minutes to see if there were any side reactions such as fever.

Kishiwada City plans to give four mass vaccinations to people aged 90 and over by the 25th of this month, and from the 10th of next month, the target will be expanded to those aged 65 and over.

A 91-year-old man who received the vaccination said, "I was relieved if I received the new corona because it is being done. I am happy to receive the vaccination."

Jun Yamada, chief of the Kishiwada City Health Promotion Division, said, "Elderly people are liable to become seriously ill when infected, so I would like to create a system that can be inoculated to everyone as soon as possible."
